The island of Kauai features 10 different golf courses across seven venues. Here are a few of our favorite places:
Prince Golf Course
Prince Golf Course is rated as Hawaii’s number one course. The backdrop includes rolling hills, volcano cliffs and coastlines. So even if you’re not an avid golfer, you will be satisfied with simply walking the course. Princeville is located on the north point of the island, about 26 miles from Lihue airport.
Puakea Golf Course
Puakea Golf Course is Kauai’s newest 18-hole course. A really cool feature is that the holes run along the tropic foothills of volcano cliffs. You may recognize some of these from the Jurassic Park movies. Puakea is only about 10 minutes from the airport located on the southeast side of Kauai.
Kauai Lagoons Golf
Kauai Lagoons Golf club features a ½ mile of oceanfront golf, longest stretch of continuous ocean holes in Hawaii. The course recently reopened in May after a renovation and the addition of three new holes. Kauai Lagoons is only about 5 minutes from Lihue Airport.
The great part about golfing in Kauai is that all courses are relatively close, allowing you to play multiple courses in a single day.
